Decoding KCSE 2023: Official Dates, Process, and Results Release. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) has officially disclosed the dates, affecting over 900,000 candidates. Pre-exam projects, scheduled from January to July 2023, preceded the oral, practical, and theory papers held between October 23 and November 24, 2023.
This intricate process involved the oversight of various stakeholders, including Subject instructors, Center Managers, Directors of Education, and Knec representatives managing the projects. Additionally, the oral, practical, and theory papers had detailed supervision from a team comprising Centre Managers, Supervisors, Invigilators, Quality Assurance Officers, Directors of Education, and Knec officials.
The marking of the KCSE 2023 exams unfolded between November 27 and December 11, 2023, conducted under the guidance of Knec examiners. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu will orchestrate the results release, scheduled from December 16 to 22, 2023, at Knec headquarters, also known as Mitihani House.
Behind the scenes, a significant workforce of 234,473 teachers played pivotal roles in administering this year’s exams, serving as exam supervisors, Invigilators, centre managers, and markers. Notably, while Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results have been disclosed, the ongoing marking of Kenya Primary School Education Assessment and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams involves a substantial number of candidates, with 1,415,315 for KCPE and 1,282,574 for KPSEA.
