HELB TRF Loans: Boosting Careers for Civil Servants and Nurses. On Friday, January 3, HELB recommended civil servants apply for the Training Revolving Fund (TRF) loan, a collaboration with the Ministry of Public Service. The loan targets national government, county government, and National Police Service employees.
The TRF Loans application period is open for civil servants, offering a loan range of Ksh30,000 to Ksh500,000, payable over six years with a favorable 4% annual interest rate.
Civil staff can utilize the loan for tuition, examination, library, computer, and research fees. HELB underscores its support for postgraduate studies, master’s, doctoral degrees, and three-month short courses.
Requirements include at least two guarantors, a company recommendation letter, an admission letter from the chosen university, three recent payslips, certified ID and KRA pin, and current passport-sized photos.
Repayment begins the month following disbursement, facilitated through monthly check-offs from the employer’s payroll. This follows HELB’s recent approval of up to Ksh500,000 loans for Kenyan nurses pursuing advanced education in approved institutions.
In conclusion, HELB TRF loans play a pivotal role in enhancing the career prospects of civil servants and nurses. By providing financial support for education and professional development, these loans empower individuals to excel in their respective fields, contributing to the overall growth of the workforce. As a valuable resource, HELB TRF loans stand as a catalyst for advancing careers and fostering excellence in the vital sectors of public service and healthcare.
