Promoting C1 to C2: TSC’s New Criteria – Dec 2023. The Teachers Service Commission, established by Article 237(1) of the Constitution, invites applications from qualified educators for various positions in alignment with career progression guidelines. Applications were accepted exclusively through the TSC portal – www.teachersonline.go.ke – until September 8th, 2023, with no provision for manual submissions.
Promotion documents required for C1-C2 advancement include:
1. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI
2. Clearance Certificate from HELB
3. KRA Tax Compliance Certificate
4. Clearance from EACC
5. Clearance Certificate from an approved CRB

Requirements for Appointment:
– Minimum three years’ service as Primary Teacher I T-Scale 6
– Satisfactory performance appraisal rating
– Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
– Additional criteria as deemed necessary by the Commission

Requirements for Appointment:
– Minimum three years’ service as Primary Teacher I T-Scale 6
– At least a Diploma in Special Needs Education (in the indicated specialty)
– Satisfactory performance appraisal rating
– Compliance with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
– Additional criteria as deemed necessary by the Commission
